Terre Haute, IN – Those dealing with chronic wounds now have better access to the care they need as the new advanced wound healing center at Union Hospital relocated within the facility.  The move allowed the center to expand its footprint and services provided – elevating the level of care, improving the quality of lives and allowing staff to better serve patients.

In order to accommodate increased patient volumes, the new 7,823 SF center includes six private exam rooms, a dedicated waiting room for wound patients, administrative offices and support spaces. The center’s two hyperbaric chambers, which are used to improve the body’s natural healing process, were also relocated.

In addition, the facility incorporated a separate 3,300 SF Employee Health area equipped with four exam rooms and four health advocate exam/offices.

As part of a larger phased renovation taking place at Union Hospital, the relocation of the Wound Center and Employee Health department allowed the necessary space for expansion of Union’s Cardiovascular Testing, waiting, registration and staff support areas.
